cataract surgery co-management
When cataracts have advanced to the point that a change in your
glasses prescription will not allow you to see adequately then you
should see a cataract surgeon. The doctors and staff at Burrows Vision
Clinic will assist you in the process of selecting a surgeon, making
appointments and following your progress during the post-op period.
When the operated eye has a stable refraction, usually 5 to 6 weeks,
you will be able to obtain a new lens. This new lens will maximize
your ability to see without the interference of the cataract. If you
have Medicare then a portion of the cost will be assumed by Medicare
and your supplement.
The doctors at Burrows Vision Clinic comanage cataract patients with
several surgeons in the area. If you have any questions please feel
free to call our clinics in McCook or Benkelman.
